PURPOSE:To raise the visual room heating effect without lowering the space heating effect obtained by radiation by reflecting the radiant heat by a heat ray reflection film and at the same time reflecting in a wider angle by a reflection plate the visible light rays which come through the heat ray reflector. CONSTITUTION:This electric space heater is provided with a light ray reflector 3 which has a parabolic face with its focus at a longitudinal quartz tube type electric heater 1 and is made of transparent heat resistant glass on which a heat ray reflecting film 2 is applied. At the rear of the reflector 2 a reflecting plate 4 has its reflecting surface worked to have a corrugaged surface and is arranged in a parabolic surface which has the heater 1 as its focus. When the heater 1 is energized, the radiant heat that is radiated from it is reflected by the heat ray reflector 3 to be concentrated in the width of the heat ray reflector 3. Visible light rays emitted from the electric heater 1 penetrate the heat ray reflector 3 and make irregular reflection in a wide angle by the reflecting plate 4 which has the corrugated reflecting surface.
