PURPOSE:To reduce damage of a roving and to improve quality of a thread, by a method wherein a roving bobbin 12 is conveyed, in a state to suspend the roving bobbin to the bobbin hanger of a bobbin carriage, to a fine spinning machine installation position through first third rail and an elevating device. CONSTITUTION:A roving bobbin 12 doffed from a roving frame 9 is suspended from a bobbin hanger 29 of a bobbin carriage 24, is moved to the elevator installation position C side along a first rail 35, and is transferred to a third rail 35 of an elevator 5 for support. Thereafter, through drive of a elevating motor 8, the elevator 5 is raised to an upper story 3, the bobbin carriage 24, supported to the third rail 35, is transferred to a second rail 34, and the bobbin carriage is moved to a refine spinning machine installation position B as it is guided by means of the second rail 34, and is fed to a refining machine 19. This constitution reduces damage of a roving on a roving bobbin to improve quality, and enables saving of a labor required for carriage of the roving bobbin.
