PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a gauge for measurement by reading the diameter of a pressure welding swell on a diameter display scale added to the lower end part of a 1st rule plate with a diameter display scale indication edge at the upper edge of a 2nd contact rule edge in the direction of a longitudinal axis. CONSTITUTION:The diameter display scale 14 for a pressure welding swell in the direction of a lateral axis is added on the surface of the inner edge part of a clamping opening 11 provided successively in an L shape from the upper end of a 1st contact rule edge 9 in the longitudinal-axis direction of a 1st rule plate 1 to the 2nd contact rule edge 10. Then, the upper end of the 2nd contact rule edge 10 in the longitudinal-axis direction of the 2nd rule plate 2 is regarded as the diameter indication rule edge 10a of the diameter display scale 14 and the diameter of the pressure welding swell P sandwiched between the 1st and 2nd contact rule edges 9 and 10 in the longitudinal-axis direction is read on the diameter display scale 14 with the diameter indication rule edge 10a. Consequently, a conventional slide rule plate is not required any more and the structure of the measurement gauge is simplified.
