ACRYLIC MODIFIED CROSS-SECTION FIBER

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fiber effective in preventing the damage of fibers occurring in the course of processing or in the use of product, without lowering the fiber strength, by mixing a specific amount of a specific rubbery polymer to an acrylic polymer. CONSTITUTION:The objective fiber can be produced by compounding (A) 80-99 pts.wt. of an acrylic polymer containing >=30wt.% acrylonitrile with (B) 20-1pts. wt. of a rubbery polymer (excluding acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber) having reversible elastic strain range of >=100% at normal temperature and spinning the polymer blend according to conventional method. The component A is preferably those containing >=70wt.% halogenated vinyl compound and/or halogenated vinylidene compound to improve the effect of the component B used as an additive. The component B is e.g. polyvinyl acetate, etc.
