PURPOSE:To make fuel consumption and startability at the time of partial load so better as well as to improve the extent of combustibility at the time of high load, by installing a deformable member which senses a subsidiary chamber mouthpiece temperature, operating a subsidiary chamber nozzle control rod, and controls a subsidiary chamber nozzle passage area. CONSTITUTION:At times of starting and partial load when a subsidiary chamber mouthpiece (9) temperature (the same space wall temperature) is low, a subsidiary chamber nozzle control rod tip 15 is flush with a passage wall surface of a subsidiary chamber nozzle 3, whereby a passage area of this subsidiary chamber nozzle 3 is large enough. Therefore, a subsidiary chamber nozzle throttle loss is reduced. And, since each of both jet and inflow velocities into main and subsidiary combustion chambers is little, a heat loss is also reduced. In addition, when at the time of high load when the subsidiary chamber mouthpiece 9 temperature (the same space wall temperature) is high, a deformable member 13 senses the space wall temperature inside the subsidiary chamber mouthpiece 9 and thereby it is deformed, making the subsidiary chamber nozzle control tip 15 project into the subsidiary chamber nozzle 3, and it makes a subsidiary chamber nozzle passage area smaller. Accordingly, whirl velocity in a subsidiary chamber 2 and jet velocity in a main chamber 1 both grow larger, thus combustion is improved.
