PURPOSE:To achieve high speed processing by preserving the raw data of a peak, by a method wherein the symmetric coordinates of the searched peak are calculated and judged symmetric peaks are filed in such a state that the spectrum intensities thereof are held as they are even when both of said intensities are different to each other. CONSTITUTION:A peak searching part 2 searches for a peak from the measured data of two-dimensional NMR composed of an nXm matrix obtained by a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measuring system 1 and a series of peak data containing the position and intensity of said peak as elements are stored in a peak file 3. A symmetric peak judge part 4 inputs the peak data of the peak file 3 to check whether peaks are present at symmetric positions one at a time with respect to all of the elements thereof and the symmetric peaks obtained as a result are stored in a symmetric peak file 5. As mentioned above, since the symmetric peak file 5 due to raw data is formed, useful data are sufficiently concentrated and a symmetric processing result can be stored in a small memory area. Further, even when a filter is applied, the numerical value itself of data after processing is not different from raw data at all.
