PURPOSE:To transmit a caller ID information in voice to a callee by obtaining the ID information from a terminal definition table when a call comes in to an extension telephone set, and synthesizing the information in voice. CONSTITUTION:When a TEL-B12 is dialed at a TEL-A11, a channel 20 is formed in a network part 13, and at the same time, the extension number of the TEL-A11 is transmitted to a voice synthesizing control part 15. Then, the control part 15 stores a voice pattern used in common with a caller's ID information registered in a voice pattern memory 17 in a buffer memory part 18 by using a directory 16. Accordingly, the part 15 actuate a PCM conversion part 19 to take out sequential data from the memory part 18, converts it to a PCM code, and transmits the result to the channel 20. In such a way, the caller's ID information is made audible in voice at the TEL-B12.
