PURPOSE:To solve the problem of various inconveniences at the time of plating a lead frame, by installing a means, preventing two pieces of plate works from being overlapped each other, in a preventer for double laying of plate works of IC lead frame of the like simply and positively. CONSTITUTION:This device has a rotatable fulcrum shaft 8 and each of mounts 9a and 10a in each objective position in reference to this fulcrum shaft 8. And, a plural pair of arms 9 and 10 are attached to the fulcrum shaft 8 so as to make turning moment in the opposite direction giveable to each other. In this case, since a master 11 or the same weight as a plate work W is mounted on the mount 10a of the arm 10, when the plate work W on the mount 9a is one piece alone, these arms 9 and 10 are kept in each illustrated position by a balancer. In contrast with this, when the plate work W is more than two piece mounted, clockwise moment is given to the fulcrum shaft 8 so that the arm 10 turns to the right, and simultaneously a tongue 14 is separated from the detectable range of a sensor 15, whereby a doubling alarm of the plate work W is emitted by an OFF signal out of this sensor 15.
