PURPOSE:To prevent the degrading of the vertical resolution without spoiling a picture in a moving area by executing a dropout compensation with a signal generated by mixing two kinds of correction signals obtained by delaying demodulated video signal by a multiple different in horizontal scanning period by a signal obtained at such a mixing proportion as corresponding to the moving-amount of a video. CONSTITUTION:When the level of an RG signal lowers, a dropout detection signal is generated, and the output data of an A/D converter 6 is made substituted with the output data of a mixer circuit 10 by a switching switch 18. The output of the mixer circuit 10 is a data that correspond to a signal that is obtained by mixing a first correction signal obtained by delaying a demodulated video signal by one-H and a second correction signal obtained by delaying the demodulated video signal by one-frame period length. The mixing ratio in the circuit 10 is determined by the value of alpha that determines the values of the coefficients of coefficient circuits 15 and 16, and the value comes in a value corresponding to the output data of a correlation value calculation circuit 11. In the circuit 11, a data corresponding to the difference between a data one-line precedent to the current frame and a data one-line precedent to the data precedent to the current data by one line-length is generated, hence the mixing ratio comes in such a value as corresponding to the amount of moving when an image moves within one-frame period.
