PURPOSE:To join metal members with excellent adhering strength by heating them in a non-oxidizing gaseous atmosphere through a sheet-like joining material consisting of powder of an Ni-P alloy or an Ni-P-Cr compound alloy, and an organic binder, at the time of joining copper and a copper compound alloy. CONSTITUTION:At the time of joining each copper compound alloy of copper, brass, bronze, etc., between these copper compound metals to be joined 2, 2, a sheet-like joining material 1 consisting of 1-30 weight parts of an organic high polymer binder diluting a synthetic resin such as a (meth) acrylic acid alkyl ester compound resin, etc., and natural rubber, a rubber polymer, etc., by toluene, against 100 weight parts of fine powder of an Ni-P alloy of 5-15% P, or an Ni-P-Cr alloy containing further 0-25% Cr is interposed as a joining material, or furthermore, the adhesive fixing material 3 of an acryl compound and a rubber compound is interposed, and in a vacuum or in a non-oxidizing atmosphere of Ar, N2, etc., said alloy powder is heated to a sintering temperature or above, and each copper compound metal member is joined firmly.
