PURPOSE:To optimally correct the pincushion distortion by arranging four magnetic bodies each having a deflecting auxiliary coil in parallel with the winding direction of a horizontal deflecting coil at the region with the winding angle width of 30 deg. or more from the horizontal axis of the deflecting yoke on the screen side winding of the horizontal deflecting coil face to face across the tube axis. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic bodies 7 each wound with one or both of a horizontal deflecting auxiliary coil 5 and a vertical deflecting auxiliary coil 6 in parallel with the winding direction of a horizontal deflecting coil 2 at the region of alpha>30 deg. from the horizontal axis on the screen side winding of the horizontal deflecting coil 2 are partially provided across the tube axis. The horizontal deflection magnetic lines of force 9 generated on the screen side of the horizontal deflecting coil 2 are sucked by the magnetic bodies 7, the pincushion distortion can be sufficiently corrected by the control of the arrangement of the magnetic bodies 7 at specific positions, the number of turns of the auxiliary coil 5, and the deflecting current, and a high-quality image can be obtained.
