PURPOSE:To prepare a fluorescent lamp of single layer type which exhibits a high efficiency and enables an increase in the size of a lamp while maintaining the characteristics of grade B or C and can be easily prepared at a low cost, by mixing a particular plurality of phosphors having different peak wavelength regions and applying the mixture. CONSTITUTION:A first phosphor having a peak wavelength of 350-380nm and a half-width of 50-90nm in a fluorescent spectrum, a second phosphor of the formula (wherein M comprises 2.5-4.0g-atom of Ba, 0.5-2.0g-atom of Ca, and 0.01-1.0g-atom of Mg; X is at least one member selected from among F, Cl, and Br; and 0.01<x<=0.25) comprising Eu<2+>-activated alkaline earth metal halophosphate and having a luminescence peak in a wavelength region of 470-500nm, and a third phosphor having a luminescence peak in a wavelength region of 620-640nm and a half-width of 120-150nm and comprising tin- activated strontium magnesium orthophosphate are mixed with a fourth phosphor comprising an Sb-activated calcium halophosphate phosphor or a magnesium tungstate phosphor. The mixture is applied to form a phosphor layer, thereby preparing a fluorescent lamp.
