PURPOSE:To obtain a resin molding having a low-strain surface and being useful for optical parts, outdoor materials, etc., by easily and simply relieving strain generated in the inside, especially, on the surface layer, of a molding during molding or processing without detriment to mass productivity, by irradiating at least part of the surface of the resin molding with ultraviolet rays. CONSTITUTION:At lest part of the surface of a resin molding comprising an acrylic resin, a styrene resin or the like, such as a product made by cutting or drilling a resin molding or a cast molding or extrusion molding formed by extrusion, injection molding or the like is irradiated with ultraviolet rays of a wavelength of 2,000-5,000Angstrom from a high-pressure mercury vapor lamp at a dose S in the range of 1X10<4=S<=9X10<4>W sec/m<2>.
