PURPOSE:To enable transferring with high printing quality onto a transfer recording material having a low surface smoothness and ensure that no transfer traces are left after correction, by sequentially providing a releasable layer, a coloring agent layer and a colorless protective layer on a base. CONSTITUTION:It is preferable that a base is resistant to heat and high in dimensional stability and surface smoothness. A releasable layer comprises a heat-fusible substance and a thermoplastic resin as main constituents, and is a layer in which the attribute of the heat-fusible substance predominates. The heat-fusible substance is preferably a paraffin wax having a melting point of 50-100 deg.C. A preferable example of the thermoplastic resin is an ethylenevinyl acetate resin. A coloring agent layer comprises the resin and the heat-fusible substance, and is a layer in which the attribute of the resin predominates. A coloring agent contained in this layer may be an inorganic pigment, an organic pigment, an organic dye or the like. A protective layer comprises a heat-fusible substance and a thermoplastic resin as main constituents, is substantially colorless, and therefore does not substantially comprise a coloring agent.
