PURPOSE:To confirm the worked shape in the case when the height of a work at a graphic display position is changed, in a graphic displaying way, by designating the height of the graphic display position and converting the NC control data to the coordinate values at the designated height and displaying the coordinate values. CONSTITUTION:As for the uppersurface end point and undersurface end point of each block which is obtained by finely dividing a closed loop which forms the outer shape of the upper and under surfaces of a work, each differential U, V is obtained by a four-axis data preparation device 101 for wire electric discharge and outputted. When the outer shape of the work on an intermediate plane is represented by an indication height position indicating device 102, the cross point between the intermediate plane and the line segment between the undersurface end point and the uppersurface end point is obtained from the geometrical relation, and a converter 103 outputs the coordinate value of each block on the intermediate plane. A graphic drawing device 104 drawns the straight line starting form the undersurface end point before the shift of the block and the intermediate point to the undersurface end point after the shift of block and the intermediate point on a display device 105, and the shape in the cut state by the intermediate plane is represented.
