PURPOSE:To make it possible to use the titled device at a low atmospheric environment by providing the device with a pressure sensor for detecting atmospheric pressure in a closed container and a bumb sealing high pressure gas in it. CONSTITUTION:When the fixed magnetic disk driver is used in an extremely low atmospheric environment such as a vacuum state, gas is slightly leaked from a filter cover packing 14 or the like. The atmospheric pressure in a disk enclosure is measured by the pressure detector 19. When the output of the detector 19 is dropped from a level corresponding to 5,000m height e.g. an electromagnetic valve 20 is opened by an output from the detector 19 and gas is fed from the bumb 31 into the disk enclosure through a joint 18 and a filter 117. When the output of the detector 19 exceeds one atmospheric pressure, the valve 20 is closed to prevent the inside of the disk enclosure from being excessively boosted.
