PURPOSE:To miniaturize the titled set by enclosing a stretched tape in the front part of a cassette with a front lid and upper lid for a non-loading time. CONSTITUTION:The front lid 5 in its bottom part and an upper half 13 in its upper part are cut out and layered upward and downward respectively. On the other hand, a boss part 15 of a lower half 12 is inserted by a turning shaft 10, and the turning shaft 10 is engaged with a boss part of the upper lid 8, which is then turnable around the shaft 10 as a center. The tape 4 in the front part of the cassette at the time of non-loading to the set is totally enclosed by the front lid 5 and upper lids 8 and 9 to be free from dust. When the cassette is loaded and transferred in the direction of C, the upper lids 8 and 9 are turned in their respective directions of A and B to each their respective positions 8A and 9A, where the bottom part of the front opening part is opened. While the cassette is descending further to be mounted on a reel base, the front lid 5 is turned to a position 5A, so that the front part and upper part of the front opening part are then opened out.
