PURPOSE:To collect a rewritable page, and to reduce the capacity of a backing store file separating a rewritable segment group and an unrewritable segment group at the time of link processing, and allocating an address. CONSTITUTION:A linker 1 consists of a segment input means 11 for inputting a segment in an object module, and a segment attribute discriminating means 12 for discriminating the attribute of an inputted segment. Moreover, said linker consists of a segment attribute managing means 13 for classifying the inputted segment by the attribute and managing it, a segment arranging means 14 for allocating a virtual address to the segment which is classified at every attribute, and a page generating means 15 for generating a page from the virtual address. A loader 3 contains a BS generating means 31 for shifting a rewritable page of a page of a load module to a backing store file BS 8, and constituted by being connected to a load module IM and the BS 8. In such a way, the BS 8 does not become large.
