METHOD FOR RECORDING SIGNALS

A method of recording first and second information signals in adjacent parallel tracks on a record medium, said first imformation signal having frequency modulated components and said second information signal being an analog signal, comprising the steps of: digitizing said second information signal to produce digital signals representative thereof; producing frequency modulated signals from said digital signals having instantaneous frequency which is a function of the contents of the digital signals and a central frequency substantially equal to the central frequency of said frequency modulated components; and recording said frequency modulated signals in alternated tracks with alternate recording heads.
