PURPOSE:To permit a large crossed angle between a driving shaft and a driven shaft, by connecting a connecting portion of the driving shaft through a coiled strand to a connecting portion of the driven shaft, and forming the coiled strand with a reduced axial thickness and an increased radial length. CONSTITUTION:A flexible member 3 has a connecting portion A connected to a driving shaft 1 and a connecting portion B connected to a driven shaft 2. The connecting portion A is connected through a coiled strand 5 to the connecting portion B. The strand 5 has a reduced axial thickness 6 and an increased radial length 7. Owing to the reduced axial thickness 6 of the strand 5, the flexible member 3 can be axially flexed, and owing to the increased radial length 7, the circumferential rigidity of the flexible member 3 can be increased. Accordingly, even when a crossed angle between the driving shaft 1 and the driven shaft 2 is greatly displaced, the torque may be reliably transmitted.
