PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembling of a permanent magnet rotary machine, improve the reliability of the same and eliminate ununiform magnetization, by a method wherein a magnetic path upon the magnetization is formed by employing an already incorporated core member and, then, the magnetization is effected. CONSTITUTION:An electric motor is provided with a pair of permanent magnets 3, fixed to the inner peripheral surface of a yoke 2, a core member 4, supported by the yoke 2 pivotally through bearings, a commutator, provided on the core member 4, and brushes, slidingly contacting with the commutator under a condition that they are pushed against the commutator elastically. A permanent magnet is obtained by magnetizing the base material of magnet, such as ferrite or the like, by employing a magnetizer 7. The motor is assembled by component previously incorporated excluding magnetizing process and magnetizing work is effected by employing the magnetizer 7 while applying a desired voltage on a lead wire being pulled out of the motor while rotating the core member 4.
