PURPOSE:To make a recording operation for a photographing operation not be late by searching a yet unrecorded track, and preparing for a recording to the yet unrecorded track previously, when a recording medium is loaded or after the recording to a field or a frame is finished. CONSTITUTION:When a controlling part 28 receives a detection signal that a floppy disk 21 is loaded to a spindle motor 23, or when the recording to one track is finished, the controlling part 28 obtains the position of the yet unrecorded track from the detection signal from a comparator 31 and the shift control of a head shifting mechanism 26, and performs a recording preparation to make a recording reproducing head 20 position at the yet unrecorded track, and makes the recording head automatically shift to the position of the yet unrecorded track at the time of the loading of the floppy disk 21, and further, makes the recording head automatically shift to the position of the following yet unrecorded track at the time of the finish of the recording to one track through a photographing under the state that the floppy disk is loaded. Thus, at the time of the operation of a release 29, an exposure and the recording can be executed immediately.
