PURPOSE:To attain the efficient and accurate terminal equipment operation by stopping polling replay when a terminal equipment detects data illegal or a fault in the inside of the set so as to allow the master set to recognize a fault in the inside of the terminal equipment and the data illegal state. CONSTITUTION:On repeating data transmission, a microprocessor 7 detects data illegal and reaches a prescribed number of times N or a fault in the inside of the set is detected, the processor 7 stops the polling response. When a processor 2 detects the absence of a replay from a terminal equipment B, the presence of a fault to the terminal equipment B is discriminated, a port 2b is controlled to turn off a switch circuit 3 to stop the power supply to the terminal equipment B and the fault of the terminal equipment B is informed to the master controller 4. When a prescribed time elapses, the processor 2 controls the port 2b, the switch circuit 3 turns on again and the power supply is restarted to the terminal equipment B.
