PURPOSE:To reproduce the optional pieces of a desired image in a still picture with sound by storing picture number which associates with the desired picture among reproduction picture on a recording medium every program which the picture belongs to. CONSTITUTION:The picture number associating with the desired picture among the reproduction picture in a video disk 1 are stored every program which the picture belongs to in a data memory 15 through an input part 16. Then when the desired program is specified by the input part 16, video information associating with the desired number which belongs in the specified program stored in the memory 15 is written in a video memory 8. After that, the reproduction is started from a specified position and reproduction video information is obtained by sequentially and repeatedly reading out the written video information. An audio signal from an audio demodulation circuit 5 is used for reproduction audio information without any operation. Thus the optional pieces of the desired image can be reproduced in the still picture with the sound.
