PURPOSE:To compensate for a voltage drop due to armature reacion by serially connecting an exciting power winding and a load and by electrically connecting an armature winding and said series circuit so that power is supplied from said winding to the series circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a load current increases, said current flows through an exciting power winding 5 so that a terminal voltage of said winding 5 increases and a supply voltage applied from the exciting power winding 5 to interconnecting terminals 12-13 of an armature winding 20 also increases. This increases an exciting current to be given to the armature winding 20 through the interconnecting terminals 12-13 of said winding 20. An increase of said exciting current is to be given from terminals 7-6 of the armature winding 20. A voltage drop due to armature reaction of the armature winding 20 is compensated by increase of said exciting current.
