摘要 PURPOSE:To aim at economy in power consumption, by specifying a multi-spark discharge period by a spark plug to a period of time till fuel is ignited since fuel injection of each combustion cycle has started, in the case of a means provided with a multi-spark plug assisting the fuel ignition. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection nozzle 11, spraying and supplying a combustion chamber 5 with fuel, and a multi-spark plug 12 as well as an ignition sensor 13 are set up in a cylinder head 4 so as to make any of each tip adjoin into the combustion chamber 5. Fuel out of a fuel pump 15 is fed to the fuel injection nozzle 11 via a high-pressure pipe 14, and this fuel pump 15 is controlled by a controller together with the spark plug 12. That is to say, each output signal of the ignition sensor 13 and a crank angle sensor 16 is inputted, and the fuel pump 15 is controlled so as to have the fuel discharged at the specified time when shifting from a compression stroke to an expansion stroke, while at an interval from injection starting of the fuel to ignition, the spark plug 12 is controlled so as to make it perform multi-spark discharge.
