PURPOSE:To obtain a desired image size in spite of a horizontal deflection frequency, by varying a power source voltage for horizon tal output by a control means corresponding to the switching of a resonance condition. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal deflection circuit 11 switches the resonance condition which decides the peak value of a return pulse by a saturable reactor 12 connected to a resonance capacitor C3 in a horizontal output circuit 3. By varying the power source voltage VCC for the horizontal output corresponding to the switching of the resonance condition by a switching power source circuit 8 provided to control the peak value of the return pulse at a stationary value, horizontal amplitude can be varied.
