PURPOSE:To send the buffer data of an abnormality time by providing a return pointer at the required address position of a data read out by a read-out pointer, and sending a storage data from the said return pointer as necessary. CONSTITUTION:When a printer 9 generates the abnormality such as a jamming, the operation of a computer is stopped, and simultaneously after turning the printer into a normal state, a switch 6 is depressed. A controller 7 detects the depressing of the switch 6, and interrupts a normal operation, and simultaneously, outputs control signals to register 3, 4 respectively, and fetches a read-out pointer and the return pointer from these respectively, and compares an address value after the address value indicated by the return pointer is increased, with the value indicated by the return pointer is increased, with the value indicated by the read-out pointer. When they coincide with each other, it continues the normal operation again, and when they do not coincide with each other, by outputting the pointer value indicated by the return pointer before the increment, and a read-out control signal to a memory 5, it fetches the data of the address position from the memory 5 and outputs it to the printer 9. Afterwards, the operation of the address comparison is performed again.
