PURPOSE:To promote the automatization of fitting an end plug,by cutting a long sized elastic material into fixed size synchronously with a fixed size feed and moving the cut end plug to the fitting position of an IC case on a sliding mechanism by a traversing extruding cylinder next fitting the end plug. CONSTITUTION:A long scale elastic material of end plug shaped section is fed in a fixed size by a supply roller driven by a pulse, and the material is held by a retaining plate, fixed through a spring to a cylinder 30 synchronously actuated with the fixed size feed, simultaneously cut by a cutting edge 20 lowered by actuating a cylinder 24. An end plug, cut in a fixed size, moves in a direction at a right angle with the feed direction by the first cylinder 34 sliding on a needle-shaped roller with a flat type holder being placed in a position for the end plug able to be fitted to an IC case 40. And moving the first cylinder 34 itself by the second cylinder 36, the end plug is fitted to the IC case. Accordingly, the end plug can be smoothly and automatically fitted to an opening part of the IC case 40.
