In the case of a sales shelving insert made of wood for subdividing sales shelves, having a transverse divider (2) which delimits individual compartments and a longitudinal rail (1) which is to be arranged at the front edge of the shelf and is intended for accommodating information elements and also the transverse divider, a solution is to be provided by means of which the transverse divider (2) can be handled separately from the rail (1), can be secured at any location on the rear side of the rail and, after insertion into the rail, cannot be removed therefrom without renewed manipulation. This object is achieved by a wooden rail (1) having a longitudinal groove (7) or longitudinal elevation on the upper side and a longitudinal groove (8) or longitudinal elevation on the rear side, as well as a wooden transverse divider (2) having catch means (3, 6) constructed, in a manner corresponding to the rail, as projections or grooves, for engaging in the respective longitudinal groove (7, 8) of the rail or for gripping the respective longitudinal elevation of the rail, a catch means (3) being fixedly arranged on the transverse divider (2) and a catch means (6) for grasping the corresponding rail element (7) being movable relative to the transverse divider (2). <IMAGE>
