PURPOSE:To manufacture a sintered ore excellent in low-temp. degredation by reduction and reducibility in high yield, by pelletizing the almost part of required amounts of solid fuel and a sintering raw material, by charging the resulting pelletized material onto a pallet, and by scattering the surface of the charged material with the rest of the solid fuel so as to sinter the lower part with a small quantity of heat. CONSTITUTION:At the time of manufacturing a sintering material by blending solid fuel with a sintering raw material consisting of an iron ore, miscellaneous materials, auxiliary materials, and sinter fines, the amount of solid fuel required is determined from the amount of the above sinterig raw material and a part of the required solid fuel is set aside, and the whole quantity of the rest is blended with the sintering raw material to undergo pelletizing. Subsequently, the pelletized material is charged onto a sintering pallet, and the above-mentioned part of solid fuel set aside is scattered on the surface of the sintering material charged onto the pallet. Then, the surface of the above is ignited, and sintering is carried out by regulating the quantity of heat in the lower layer part of a sintering bed to the value lower than that in case of a sintering material in which the whole quantity of solid fuel is blended. In this way, the yield and productivity of the sintered ore can be improved and the basic unit of fuel at the time of manufacturing a sintered ore can be reduced.
