PURPOSE:To automatically perform both sieving of granular samples and removal of dispersion liquid medium with centrifugal force, by rotating a cylindrical sieve in which all circumferences of the side face are constituted with a wire gauze and feeding the granular samples dispersed in the dispersion liquid medium from the inside. CONSTITUTION:Granular samples are uniformly dispersed into dispersion liquid medium in a dispersion tank 1. This dispersion liquid is introduced through the center of the rotary shaft 10 of a rotating cylindrical sieve and ejected through an ejection nozzle of the dispersion liquid medium which is provided to the rotary shaft 10 and scattered in the tangential direction by centrifugal force. The granular samples incorporated in the dispersion liquid medium are passed through wire gauzes (coarse mesh)14, wire gauzes (second mesh)15 and wire gauzes (fine mesh)16. In this case, these are sieved to material remaining on respective wire gauzes and material passed therethrough. Both the dispersion liquid medium and the granular samples passed through the wire gauze 16 are discharged from a discharge hole 21. Further the dispersion liquid medium backwash is ejected toward the face of the cylindrical sieve through a nozzle 17 and flocculated and nonpassed particles remaining on the inner surface of the cylindrical sieve are unfastened to promote the pass. These operations are controlled as setting preferably together with a drying mechanism by a microcomputer 24.
