PURPOSE:To accurately count a quantity of small parts, by performing a transfer feed of the part while its speed increase and transfer feed to a discharge part by a parts feeder through a rotary helical mechanism and dropping the part to an optical counter through a chute. CONSTITUTION:A device actuates a parts feeder 3 further drives drums 6, 7 by a motor 18. In this way, the device drops a part in the parts feeder 3 from a discharge part 11 to between thread constitutional members 9, 10 of the drums 6, 7 to be fed to the side of a chute 14 by the thread constitutional members 9, 10. Here the device, forming the thread constitutional members 9, 10 such that their space is narrow in a side of the discharge part 11 gradually spreading in accordance with the direction toward the chute 14, increases a transfer speed of the part spreading its space. And the part, which drops into an optical sensor not shown, is counted. In this way, the device, dropping the part spreading its space, enables the part to be accurately counted.
