PURPOSE:To reduce brake noise by mixing aluminum pieces by specified additive quantity into pad material made of steel fiber as base material. CONSTITUTION:A disk brake pad 1 is made through grinding after curing those that preformed and hot formed with a forming die after mixing aluminum pieces 7 in a fixed form by 5-15 wt% into pad material 5 constituted with friction conditioner, binder and steel fiber 6. Therefore, when the temperature of the disk brake pad 1 rises, distribution of ferrous component on the sliding surface is made coarse according to the effect of aluminum pieces 7 and rolled layer of steel fiber is eliminated by grinding so generation of brake noise can be reduced.
