PURPOSE:To prevent misfire or production of noxious gas by operating the timing for feeding fuel into a combustion chamber when an intake valve closes, then starting and reseting fuel cut with matched timing. CONSTITUTION:Injectors 4a-4f are arranged on an intake tube 3 and a controller 11 controls the fuel injection timing. The time necessary for fuel to arrive to an intake valve after it is injected through an injector 4 is previously stored in a memory, and the timing for feeding fuel into a combustion chamber when the intake valve closes is operated according to operating condition. Fuel out is started and reset with matched timing. Consequently, misfire due to insufficient fuel supply or production of noxtious gas can be prevented.
