PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of the energy consumption of an airconditioning machine, by a method wherein the conduction of an auxiliary heater is controlled by an indoor temperature regulator and the load lightening means of a rotating number control type compressor motor. CONSTITUTION:When the load of a compressor motor 10 is increased, the load lightening means in an outdoor control circuit 11 is operated to output a command to reduce the rotating number of a compressor motor 10, a command is outputted to an indoor control circuit 5, to put OFF the conduction of an auxiliary heater 3 whereby the conduction of the auxiliary heater is put OFF and only a heat pump is operated. The conduction of the auxiliary heater 3 is put OFF when the rotating number of the compressor motor 10 is reduced in such a manner, whereby the period of time of the operation of the heat pump in which the efficiency of energy consumption is good may be elongated, and the period of time of the conduction of the auxiliary heater 3 in which the efficiency of the same is bad may be reduced. According to this constitution, a heat pump type air-conditioning machine, high in the efficiency of energy consumption, may be obtained.
