PURPOSE:To prevent furtive recording completely by detecting whether or not a furtive recording inhibition indication signal exists which occupies a narrow frequency band in the vicinity of a specific frequency so as to avoid the normal recording operation. CONSTITUTION:A band pass filter BPFa having a narrow band to extract a furtive recording inhibition indication signal mixed in a composite video signal is provided. When the composite video signal reproduced from a recorded recording medium is a signal where the furtive recording inhibition indication signal is mixed during all horizontal periods within plural consecutive predetermined vertical scanning period in the composite video signal, the signal fed to an input terminal 3 is not fed to a recording section RD by the OFF operation of a switch SWa. Thus, the furtive recording is completely prevented. |
