DNA SEQUENCE CODING SIGNAL PEPTIDE HAVING IMPROVED PROTEIN SECRETION PROMOTING ABILITY

PURPOSE:To improve protein secretion promoting ability, by forming a DNA sequence coding an amino acid sequence of a signal peptide in which all the amino acid except at specific positions are substituted by one kind of hydrophobic amino acid. CONSTITUTION:A signal peptide in which all or at least most of amino acids except the 1st, 2nd and 16th-18th amino acids of natural signal peptide of egg white lysozyme are substituted by one kind of hydrophobic amino acid or a DNA coding such modified signal peptide is prepared. The modified signal peptide can be utilized to efficiently secrete essentially secretory protein or essentially nonsecretory protein to the outside of cultivated cells.
