PURPOSE:To pay-back to each of homes according to the amount of discharged hot water of which heat can be recovered and to save energy as well as a natural source by a method wherein an amount of discharged hot water to be recovered is calculated according to the amount of discharged hot water of which heat can be recovered the and a specified amount of hot water fed is subtracted from an amount of used hot water. CONSTITUTION:An amount of hot water fed from a hot water supplying device 4 and used in a bath is measured by a device 5 for measuring the amount of hot water fed and then is stored in a part of a memory device 6. Discharged hot water is measured by a hot water and discharged hot water amount measuring device 3 installed in a discharging pipe 2. In the case where hot water with such a temperature as to be capable of thermal recovery is discharged, it is recovered to a hot water and discharged water tank 10 under the control of a control valve 12, hot discharged water accumulated in the hot discharged water tank 10 is heat exchanged with a heat exchanger 11. A part of the discharged hot water having a low temperature is controlled by the control valve 12 and then discharged to an external part. The discharged hot water recovered to the hot water discharged tank 10 is measured by a discharged hot water amount measuring device 3 and stored in a memory device 6. A discharged amount of hot water is multiplied by a specified amount coefficient of reduction in a reduced hot water and discharged water amount calculating device 7 to calculate an amount of discharged and reduced hot water is calculated. The discharged and reduced amount of hot water is calculated by a calculating device 8, subtracted from an amount of used hot water to get an actual amount of use, stored in a memory device 6; then, it is applied as an object for calculating a fee for the use of hot water fed.
