PURPOSE:To obtain a toothed belt efficiently without having damage on a reinforcing linear member by a method wherein the foregoing reinforcing linear member coated with molten resin is stuck mutually each other for unification by winding the same round a rotary body, which is arranged within a molding tool so that the reinforcing linear member exists by extending in a longitudinal direction of the belt and the inside of the tool is filled with a material. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing linear member 6 is coated with molten resin 3. Then adjoining reinforcing linear members 9 obtained by coating the reinforcing linear member 6 with the molten resin are stuck to each other with the respective molten resin for unification by winding the reinforcing linear member 9 round a rotary body 7, and a reinforcing sheet 11 is molded. Then the reinforcing sheet 11 is arranged within a molding tool 12 so that the reinforcing linear member 9 exists by extending in a longitudinal direction of a belt 18, and the inside of the molding tool 12 is filled with a thermoplastic molding material. Damage of the linear reinforcing member due to contact with the tool can be prevented in this manner and a toothed belt can be manufactured efficiently.
