PURPOSE:To simplify constitution and to reduce the size and weight thereof by moving a focusing lens group in the optical axis direction cooperatively with rotation of the focusing lens group to execute focusing and moving a zoom lens group in the optical axis direction to execute zooming. CONSTITUTION:A lens driving device connects a variator lens 32 and a compen sator lens 33 to driving mechanism of the focusing lens group 21 via a cam driving mechanism and is so constituted as to make zooming action of the variator lens 32 and the compensator lens 33 cooperatively with the focusing action of the focusing lens group 21. Driving control of both the focusing and zooming actions is, therefore, attained by a piece of motor. The constituting parts are thereby reduced and the size and weight are reduced as far as possible.
