ELECTROCHROMIC DISPLAY DRIVING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To permit injection of an adequate quantity of electric charge to an electrochromic display (ECD) by providing a means for supplying the adequate quantity of the charge which is constituted of a capacitor accumulated with the adequate quantity of the charge to color the ECD to an adequate density. CONSTITUTION:The quantity of the charge accumulated in the capacitor 2 is proportional to the capacity and voltage thereof. The density of the ECD 4 can, thereupon, the adjusted by adjusting the voltage to be impressed between terminals (a) and (b) and the capacity thereof. The need for adjusting a power supply time is eliminated. Decoloration of the ECD 4 made to color can be executed by connecting the polarities of the ECD 4 reverse and repeating the same operation. The injection of the adequate quantity of the charge to the ECD is thereby permitted.
