PURPOSE:To stably obtain a bright electroplating film which is free from apparent unevenness and has uniform composition by simultaneously adding pH buffers and a nonionic surfactant of specified amount into a plating bath in the case of plating Fe-Zn alloy. CONSTITUTION:One or more kinds of citric acid, acetic acid, lactic acid, sodium salts of these acids, aluminum sulfate and EDTA, etc., are added at the rate of 10-500g/l as a pH buffer to the electroplating bath of Fe-Zn alloy consisting of a sulfuric acid bath contg. Fe ion and Zn ion and also one or more kinds of nonionic surfactants such as polyethylene glycol, its derivatives, polypropylene glycol and its derivatives are added at the rate of 0.1-10ppm. The plated film of Fe-Zn alloy which has excellent brightness and appearance and is excellent in corrosion resistance and adhesion is stably obtained.
