A unit for the manufacture of cored-out, slab-shaped concrete elements, such as flooring, has a long mould form 1, 2 open at the top and a unit advancing in the longitudinal direction thereof with cores 4 and a concrete placing unit 9, 10, followed firstly by an implement 15 for compressing the concrete 5 between the cores 4 by pressing grooves 7 down into the concrete surface, and then an implement 16 for levelling the surface by filling the grooves 7 with material from the top of the intervening elevations. <IMAGE>
