PURPOSE:To shorten a time for finding and correcting a faulty part, by sending an inspection data string to a fast line in sending meaningless data, and inspecting whether or not an error exists in the inspection data string automatically. CONSTITUTION:A terminal interface 24a is initialized by the control of a multiplexer control part 10. When the meaningless data including an inspection data frame is inputted from a multiplexer on an opposite side to a multiplexer 1B, a processor 17 in the terminal interface 24a detects an inherent pattern to start the inspection data frame, and checks the inspection data. The processor, in the case of finding the error by inspection based on the inspection data, sends data representing the fact that the error exists to the multiplex control part 11. The multiplex control part 11 constitutes the data representing the fact that the error exists to a frame format, and sends it to the multiplexer on the opposite side via the fast line 4.
