PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency by once raising up superposed pallets and separating and lowering only a lowermost pallet and horizontally shifting said pallet to a prescribed position and lifting and holding a vacant pallet by a similar means set parallel, in the captioned device for assembly line. CONSTITUTION:The superposed pallets 3 are transferred onto the first pallet transferring means 20a, which is raised. Then, the pallets other than the lowermost pallet 3 are held by a holding means 10a, and only the lowermost pallet 3 is lowered again by the transferring means 20a. The lowermost pallet is transferred onto a pallet transporting board 33 shifted and set in waiting state under the transferring means 20a during the above-described elevation, and transported to a prescribed position by a horizontal transport means 30. While, the vacant pallet 3 is shifted to the second transferring means 20b side, and lifted up by the second transferring means 20b, and engaged and held by the holding means 10b. With such constitution, the part can be supplied efficiently, interlocked with an industrial robot.
