PURPOSE:To improve anti-removing effect of tire from rim, when a tire is mounted onto the rim, by employing such front side shape of tire as has maximum tire width near the rim flange while employing such side surface shape as the width of tire decreases up to the tread section. CONSTITUTION:A tire is formed such that the maximum width WT thereof is substantially equal to total width WR of a rim flange under the condition where a pneumatic tire is mounted on a rim 1. The width of tire at the side section 2 of the rim flange 1 is made same as the maximum tire width WT. Furthermore, upper side surface 5 is formed with curves (or lines) for decreasing the width of tire up to a tread section 6 when viewed in cross-section of tire. Consequently, anti-removing effect of tire from the rim is improved and maneuvering stability is also improved.
