摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the erroneous detection of a static area and a moving area by obtaining an action detection quantity from the absolute value of the difference among three frames in subsequent two fields in which a phase relation is symmetrical to a vertical direction with respect to an interpolation scanning line and from the value of the difference of the adjacent fields. CONSTITUTION:A second adder 14 adds the outputs of a second absolute value circuit 10 and a 1H memory 13 so as to take the average. A first adder 11 adds the outputs of a first absolute value circuit 9 and the second adder 14. A third low pass filter 17 samples only the difference which has occurred by the low pass component of a luminance signal from the output of a third subtractor 16. A decision circuit 15 outputs action detection data for scanning line interpolation without erroneous decision from the output of the first absolute value circuit 9, the output of the first adder 11, the output of the second absolute value circuit 10, the output of the 1H memory 13 and the output of the third low pass filter 17 to an action detection data output terminal for scanning line interpolation.
