PURPOSE:To reduce the size of facility by mounting a packing material holder for cathode ray tube onto a supporting board of lifting mechanism, then lifting/ lowering along a rail standing on a rotary table and releasing the packing material at an unloading position. CONSTITUTION:A pallet for rotating a rotary table 14 is positioned at a position corresponding to a holder which is lifted/lowered through a lifter mechanism 20. Then an arm 44 is opened by means of a cylinder 30 for opening/closing the holder, and the holder 40 is lowered by the lifter 20. Then a packing material 50 is held and the lifter 20 is lifted so as to collapse the packing material 50 of the pallet. Similarly, the racking materials 50 on the rotary table 14 are entirely collapsed. Thereafter, the lifter 20 is lowered and the packing material 50 is mounted on a cathode ray tube. Then, the holder 40 is lifted by single stage and the packing material 50 is held, and the processing is repeated. With such arrangement, size of facility can be reduced.
