PURPOSE:To repair a glass lining by forming a protective film of fluororesin having superior corrosion resistance to acid and alkali and satisfactory adhesion by baking finish on the fallen part of the glass linking and its vicinity. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces of the fallen part 3 of a glass lining 2 on a metallic base material 1 such as carbon steel and its vicinity are roughened, a primer layer is preferably formed and fluororesin is uniformly stuck and baked at about 150-450 deg.C. The primer is preferably a mixture of fluororesin with other chemicals such as acid and the primer is stuck to the roughened surfaces and baked. Polytetrafluoroethylene resin or a perfluoroalkoxy copolymer may be used as the fluororesin. Thus, a fluororesin film 4 having satisfactory adhesion is formed and the glass lining is repaired with durability.
